In many countries of the European Union at the end of May, relaxation of the rules of the regime of work and rest of truckers introduced due to the coronavirus pandemic expired.
We are talking about Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Finland, Greece, Spain, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Sweden, and Great Britain.
Finland is the first country to announce that since June 1 of this year the country has fully applied the provisions of Regulation (EU) 561/2006 on driving and resting times for professional drivers.
Other countries made similar statements, Germany, also for lack of good reasons, will not extend extenuating rules.
Following also, Spain, Sweden and Belgium stopped easing the rules of Regulation (EU) 561/2006. Also, the Dutch organization of carriers of TLN and the Czech Cesmad Bohemia will no longer use the rules for easing quarantine measures.
Poland also said that it did not intend to extend the mitigation rules.
